Remaining true to our commitment to sustainability, we chose vegan leather for the interior, reducing animal skin processing and creating a smaller carbon footprint. Because we looked to water for inspiration, we used recycled fishnets for the flooring, while seats and interior fabric are made from recycled plastic bottles and wool fiber. At Kia, we want to not just simply recycle what we find in our oceans but rather upcycle and transform such waste into tactile fabrics. From the first to the very last step of our customer journey, this is Kia’s highest purpose.ĭiscarded trash in our oceans poses serious threats to marine life, but we know it can be turned into purposeful and reusable materials. Our mission is to provide the most rewarding experiences possible to our customers for a clean future. We strive to apply what we learn to every material we use and to the way we use those materials. We embrace all that nature has to offer and work to understand the Earth’s principles. We are not just copying nature, but learning from it. The Kia Concept EV9 is inspired by an idea Kia calls “Bold for Nature.” For Kia, nature is where the creation process begins. As for the Kia Concept EV9, we believed that the tension that lies in the contrast between nature and machine can actually lead us to a better and more sustainable way forward. This idea is reflected in our design identity, “Opposites united”. With a 1,789cc petrol engine giving 90 horsepower, or 2,184cc diesel engine offering 79 horsepower, the Bongo Van is a solid option for your next work van.The world presents us with a multi-dimensional and rich balance of opposite and often contrasting concepts. Like the Bongo Truck, the Bongo Van employs a steering column shifter to allow for increased leg space, as well as more storage options in the instrument panel and door pockets. That, combined with the contrasting smallest turn radius the vehicle has ever had, leads to noticeable and very welcome enhancements in the car’s usability. Also, the overall body size of the Bongo Van is the largest in model’s history. Sliding doors on one or both sides of the body were offered as options in addition to the standard roof and high roof. The current generation of the Mazda Bongo Van has a redesigned forward chassis for improved collision safety. The Bongo is perfect as a family vehicle or a work van. It can be configured to carry up to six passengers. It can be had with a range of fuel efficient petrol and diesel engines. It features a sliding rear door for easy access and is available with optional all-wheel drive. The Mazda Bongo van provides a great deal of utility and cargo space.
